…predicting a doggy future

Because not everyone’s cool enough to be on Twitter, sometimes I have to repeat myself on here. I’m trying not to spoil things for everyone, but one day I predict I’ll go to Korea and enjoy (repeated) time at a dog cafe. See?

…more than done with Vientiane

As mentioned in my earlier post on the Lao capital, I spent too long in Vientiane. That’s not to say that I didn’t have fun, but more than a week there (for a tourist) is probably unnecessary. …listening to beardy music

You may know that I like beards. You may remember that I like a band called The Beards, so you can imagine my surprise when I went on Bandcamp the other day to find them, only to be faced with pages and pages of other bands with beards in their names, and sometimes on their faces. …half done with Vientiane

Vientiane, the small capital of Laos, is a funny place. Most people I met prior to going said there’s no real point seeing it and, if I insisted, then one or two days would be enough. While I think they were all wrong, and would encourage people to spend more time there, the 13 days I ended up there were far too many.

…not just tubing in Vang Vieng

While it is/was tubing that made Vang Vieng such a popular stopping off point, in my few days there I found out there was more to do in an area surrounded by mountains and with a big river running by.
