As mentioned in my earlier post on the Lao capital, I spent too long in Vientiane. That’s not to say that I didn’t have fun, but more than a week there (for a tourist) is probably unnecessary. …listening to beardy music

You may know that I like beards. You may remember that I like a band called The Beards, so you can imagine my surprise when I went on Bandcamp the other day to find them, only to be faced with pages and pages of other bands with beards in their names, and sometimes on their faces. With nothing better to do with my life, I spent the best part of a day and a half listening to them. Here’s a rundown of those bands, in the order they were presented to me:

…half done with Vientiane

Vientiane, the small capital of Laos, is a funny place. Most people I met prior to going said there’s no real point seeing it and, if I insisted, then one or two days would be enough. While I think they were all wrong, and would encourage people to spend more time there, the 13 days I ended up there were far too many.
