Poland and Cyprus nearly didn’t happen. While in Inverness we booked a cruise that would’ve cut both of those out — leaving from Italy, heading through the Med, over the Atlantic, round the tip of South America, across to New Zealand and then stopping in Australia.

…looking to bring back the mystery

Last night I went to see comedy-magicians Barry and Stuart. Despite my huffing last year about my hacked review that appeared on their poster, I was quite excited to see that they had included my star rating on their promotional material this time round. It doesn’t have my name – just the site’s – but it feels quite special to know that it was me who awarded those stars to them even if no one else knows. (I’ve just re-read the review and, my word, it’s been destroyed but still displays my name next to it.)

Movember’s over and it’s pretty much just withered away. No award*, no party**, no sense of fulfilment. Just an odd feeling standing at a bus stop realising that it was December and I still had a moustache.

I’m a little bit in love with Derren Brown. I was watching his show  the other night (and the other, other night) and although I’m a bit disappointed by this one  (unless he did, in fact, rig the Lottery, then that’s pretty cool) I’m still not going to hear anything bad against him.
