…not sure that Hitler was Jesus reincarnated

I know, I know. Sometimes it seems like I say things that are the opposite of public opinion just to be controversial but hear me out. Read the rest of this entry »

…done with reading

At the start of 2014 I set myself the target of reading 100 books. To find out if I made it or not, go to the Skinny website and read the beautiful article I wrote for them about my joys and triumphs, my failure and The Line of bloody Beauty.

…carrying more (less) stuff

Last time I went on a big trip, I had a big backpack with me. This time round I’ve taken only a carry on case. What’s in it? Anything?

…almost definitely a Polish superstar

I don’t have any pictures to illustrate what I’m talking about in this post, so you’ll have to just trust everything I say and use your imagination to best understand what I’m trying to describe. It might not be easy.

…done with 2013

I may be a fortnight late, but here’s a rough a month by month run down of my past year. For those depending on my blog for updates of my life, you’re in for a few spoilers. The first few months are going to be the most boring and I’ve left the last few a bit sparse so as not to ruin future posts. All in all, a bit weak.

One ‘interesting’ point is that this has been my third year running that has been longer than the standard 365 days. 2012 was a leap year, 2013 I gained around eight hours (starting in Australia, ending in Copenhagen) and this year I had the double 21 April. I think 2014 will be a short one.

…done with books, for now

2013 was my most productive reading year to date, with 78 completed book. I thought I’d counted before and read closer to 90, but I don’t know where those other books have gone.

…home

This wasn’t planned in anyway, I certainly don’t take my blog that seriously and if I did I’d probably have picked a better date (like when I actually left the UK, for instance). Instead the combination of once-a-year cruises and the length of time allowed in the US saw to it.

…a celebrity

People who know of my online presence will know all about my IMDB profile, my fan pages and sites with my nudie pics (no link), but being on a cruise made me feel more like a celebrity than ever before.

I’ve spoken before about the beauty of time zones and how often they amaze and baffle me; now I’ve experienced perhaps the best they have to offer.

…done with 2011

About a year ago I made a list of goals for 2011, but as time went on I forgot more and more about them.

My life now is quite different to how it was at the start of 2011 and rather than focus on those goals (for those interested: yes, not enough, no, yes, no, no, probably, technically, possibly, not quite) I’m going to give a month-by-month account of my year, as best I remember it, in the manner of a long forgotten blogger. (If you’d rather just look at pictures and not read words, go here.)
